It is the writing that undergirds the performance of it. I have taken pains to insert timing and emphasis cues. It helps you imagine the proper delivery.
In My Behind the Music Movie, I suggest dividing my material into two forms: One is easily identifiable as being performed in a theater, in front of the audience. The typical set for this would be the backroom of a bar.
There are also pieces here that are spoken to a particular person. These pieces may perhaps be best translated visually as being spoken by some sort of hologram of my character, that character just appearing in someone's office for the purpose of speaking to them. Maybe there's some slight visual noise in the hologram, kind of like that Final Fantasy character who turns around, unsure of his environment, the clip from that intro video mash-up I did.
